Furthermore, we have shown by multivariate analyses that patients with SATB2 protein expression in carcinoma had a better prognosis than those without SATB2 expression, and that tumor recurrence, surgical margin and the status of SATB2 protein were independent factors influencing overall survival, indicating that SATB2 is a powerful prognostic index of survival in LSCC.
