Eight (57%) of the patients were men, median age was 63 (range 44–77), 10 (71%) had a high grade tumor by histologic examination, 8 (57%) patients were 6/6 TA repeats (i.e., negative for the UGT1A1*28 polymorphism, where a seventh TA sequence is present in the TATA sequence of the UGT1A1 promoter). Here, UGT1A1 is linked to neoplasm.
