In this same study, the presence of activated T cells co-cultured with DENV-infected DC has led to an increased production of IFN-induced chemokines such as CXCL9/MIG, CXCL10/IP-10, and CXCL11/I-TAC, which are CXCR3 ligands and were also observed later in the plasma from patients affected by severe DF. This evidence concerns the gene CXCL9 and dengue disease.
