Higher levels of angiogenic factors, such as thromboxane A2 receptor, cyclooxygenase-2, angiopoietin 2, and thrombomodulin, and chemokines, such as stromal-derived factor 1 and its receptor CXCR-4, have been reported in IBC than in non-IBC patients [6,38,39].
