FGF-23 levels did not differ by age, sex, race, the presence of diabetes, or duration from transplant but were higher among patients with more advanced transplant CKD (median levels 14.5 pg/mL among patients with CKD stages 1 and 2 and 18.2 pg/mL among patients with CKD stages 3 and 4 (P = 0.02)). This evidence concerns the gene FGF23 and chronic kidney disease.
