In this study, we evaluated the value of soluble triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells 1 (sTREM-1), procalcitonin (PCT), and C-reactive protein (CRP) serum levels in terms of their value for sepsis diagnosis, identification of new fever caused by bacteremia in ICU patients, and prediction of prognosis. This evidence concerns the gene TREM1 and bacterial infectious disease with sepsis.
