ESR1 and gallstones: Haplotypes analysis of the studied three polymorphisms of ESR1 revealed that distribution of T rs2234693G rs9340799C rs1801132 haplotype was significantly higher in both GBC (27.5% v/s 13.7%) and gallstone patients (25.1% v/s 13.7) in comparison to controls and was conferring high risk for GBC (p = <0.0001; [OR], 3.0 Table 4) and gallstone disease (p = 0.0012; [OR], 2.2 Table 4).
