The Bendavid, CD4 HIV/ART, Goals, HIV Portfolio, and Synthesis Transmission models all predicted that there would be only a relatively modest benefit in moving from initiation at ≤200 cells/μl to ≤350 cells/μl, and a much greater benefit in moving from initiation at ≤350 cells/μl to immediately upon diagnosis of HIV infection. This evidence concerns the gene CD4 and HIV infectious disease.
