More recently, Ogino and collaborators demonstrated, in colorectal cancer patients, that the expression of PPARγ is associated with a good prognosis [9], in accordance with the previous data reported by Jackson and collaborators [10], which demonstrated that PPARγ (mRNA and protein) expression levels were significantly depressed in colorectal cancer cells compared with matched non-malignant tissue. This evidence concerns the gene PPARG and colorectal cancer.
