Fanconi anemia, the fourth disease on the list, satisfied all three in that (i) Fanconi anemia shows high relative risk with HPV; (ii) FANCC, a gene in the disease network mutated in Fanconi anemia, is up-regulated in the E6 exogenous expression IMR90 cell data, and (iii) FANCC is significantly up-regulated in low density bone marrow cells of Fanconi anemia patients (GEO dataset: GSE16334; two-tailed t-test; P = 0.00069) [38].
