The C-terminal Zinc-Finger domain of GATA-4 is known to interact with various transcriptional activators such as GATA-6, MEF-2, NFAT, Nkx-2.5, SRF, dHAND and YY1 [40-46], whereas the N-terminal domain of GATA-4 activity is regulated by several signaling pathways as a result of hypertrophic stimulation and is involved in development of cardiac hypertrophy. The gene discussed is GATA4; the disease is cardiac hypertrophy.
