ACE and chronic kidney disease: While some nephrologists may administer tentative drugs to patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) based on the clinical manifestation prior to performing a renal biopsy, they still depend on a percutaneous renal biopsy to make a definite histological diagnosis, and thereby, determine an efficient drug administration strategy [1-3], especially for patients with resistance or unresponsiveness to immunosuppressive agents, anticoagulants, and/or angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor (ACEI) [4-6].
