To explore whether PXR plays an important role in the development of high-fat diet-induced obesity, 4-week old male AKR/J mice were fed a high-fat diet or regular chow as a control for 7 weeks, and simultaneously treated with PCN (50 mg/kg, twice weekly) or vehicle (DMSO). This evidence concerns the gene NR1I2 and obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
