In this study, we demonstrated; 1) tumorigenic activity of MRGD in vivo and in vitro, 2) MRGD expression in clinical cancer tissues, 3) promotion of spheroid growth by beta-alanine, the MRGD ligand, and 4) fibrosarcoma-like morphology of the grafted tissues of mice subcutaneously implanted MRGD-expressing cells. This evidence concerns the gene MRGPRD and fibrosarcoma.
