We reported that expression of FGFR2 IIIb and one of its major ligands, FGF7, correlated with venous invasion, vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A) expression, and a poor prognosis and may promote venous invasion and tumor angiogenesis in pancreatic cancers [49]. Here, FGFR2 is linked to familial pancreatic carcinoma.
