In addition, other genes were identified that are involved in apoptosis mechanisms and in signaling pathways, such as the polypeptide protein tyrosine phosphatase, the receptor type F (PTPRF), a member of the protein phosphatase family that regulate a variety of cellular processes including cell growth, differentiation, mitotic cycle, and oncogenic transformation [27,28]; the interferon inducible double stranded RNA dependent activator (PRKRA), which encodes a protein kinase that mediates the effects of interferon in response to viral infection [29]. This evidence concerns the gene PTPRF and viral infectious disease.
