As determined by multivariate analysis (Figure 8B), the hazard ratio compared to the high ARID4B tercile was 0.54 for middle ARID4B (95% C.I. = 0.33–0.89; p = .015) and 0.42 for the low ARID4B tercile (95% C.I. = 0.26–0.70; p = 7.51×10∧−4), indicating that patients with tumors expressing high levels of ARID4B are approximately twice as likely to develop metastatic disease. Here, ARID4B is linked to metastatic neoplasm.
