A commercial polyclonal antibody directed against the C-terminus of GRP78 can induce apoptosis in melanoma cells (A375) and prostate cancer cells (1-LN and DU145), which may lead to the upregulation of p53, inhibition of NF-κB1 and NF-κB2 activation, and suppression of Ras/MAPK and PI3K/Akt signaling (44–46). This evidence concerns the gene NFKB2 and prostate carcinoma.
