It has been suggested that in glioblastoma, highly methylated genes, such as CD81 (CD81 antigen), DR4 (death receptor 4, TRAIL receptor 1) and GATA6 (GATA binding protein 6), participating in cell adhesion, apoptosis, and proliferation [3] could be important in gliomagenesis. Here, CD81 is linked to glioblastoma.
