The contribution of Cl− channels to the LXA4 induced current, was tested using chloride ion channel inhibitors; NPPB (calcium-activated Cl− channel inhibitor) and CFTR-inh172 (CFTR Cl− channel inhibitor), and recording their effect on membrane current and conductance responses to LXA4 in CF and non-CF cells (Figure 5). This evidence concerns the gene CFTR and cystic fibrosis.
