Several transcription factors are up-regulated during the stress such as protein of unknown function YGGT (MAP1890c) thought to be activated in response to hyperosmotic stress [36], transcriptional regulator CRP / FNR family (MAP0082) which responds to various stress stimuli such as oxidative stress and nitrosative stress [37]; interestingly, among up-regulated entries are also sigE, induced by oxidative stress or during infection of macrophages [38] and oxyS as regulator of oxidative stress response that mimics oxyR[39]. The gene discussed is CRP; the disease is infection.
