In several papers from the Abel laboratory in which the Q227L activating mutation of Gsα (Q227L), a mutation that is also an activating mutation functionally similar to the R201C/H mutations that cause FD/MAS, was targeted to the central nervous system of mice, the animals developed a spectrum of neuropsychiatric findings including learning disorders [64-70]. This evidence concerns the gene GNAS and McCune-Albright syndrome.
