IL10 and acute pancreatitis: The beneficial effect of this indoleamine on acute pancreatitis was also manifested by the dose-dependent reduction of proinflammatory cytokine TNFα blood level, accompanied by a marked rise of anti-inflammatory interleukin 10 (IL-10) in the animals subjected to acute pancreatitis and pretreated with melatonin [16, 69, 70] (Figure 1).
