In this regard, we found that RASSF1C over-expression induces phosphorylation of ERK1/2 in lung cancer cells (Figure 6), raising the hypothesis that RASSF1C could exert its activities on some target genes such as PIWIL1 through the activation of the MEK-ERK1/2 pathway which controls a wide variety of target genes. The gene discussed is MAPK3; the disease is lung carcinoma.
