Children using asthma medication had 0.49% (95% CI: –1.42, 0.45), 1.72% (95% CI: –2.77, –0.67), and 1.37% (95% CI: –2.79, 0.06) lower DNA methylation in NOS2A positions 1, 2, and 3, respectively, compared with asthmatic children not taking medication.
