Figure 1 shows that treatment with WEB2170 (Figure 1(a)) or PCA4248 (Figure 1(b)) reduced tumor progression, suggesting that the PAFR plays an important role in growth of a sub-tumorigenic dose of melanoma cells induced by a large number of apoptotic cells. Injection of the classic inflammatory agent, carrageenan, also promoted the growth of a sub-tumorigenic dose of melanoma cells, as previously reported; however, the treatment with PAFR antagonists did not affect tumor growth (Figure 1(c)).
