However, we compared the effects of SNF2LT knockdown with the effects of SNF2L knockdown and although there were some minor differences in the changes effected by SNF2L v SNFLT knockdown on select cell cycle proteins, eg. p-BRCA1 and apoptosis pathways triggered, eg. caspase 9 v caspase 8, there was much more in common between singular SNF2L v singular SNF2LT knockdown in inducing DNA damage, a DNA damage response, cell cycle arrest and apoptosis selectively in cancer cell lines.
