TNF and infection: In fact, we found that PS exposure on DCL amastigotes at 24 h post-infection displayed a positive correlation with the TGF-β1/TNF-α ratio (Figure 3F, r = 0.75, p = 0.03) and with the IL-10/TNF-α ratio (Figure 3G, r = 0.88, p = 0.01), suggesting that the anti-inflammatory phenotype induced by macrophages infected with DCL isolates is linked to PS exposure on the parasite surface.
