This translocation leads to fusion of translocated in liposarcoma (TLS; also known as fused in sarcoma, FUS) and DNA damage-inducible transcript 3 (DDIT3; also known as CCAAT/enhancer-binding protein (C/EBP) homologous protein, CHOP; originally named as growth arrest- and DNA damage- inducible gene 153, GADD153) genes, resulting in the production of the TLS-DDIT3 fusion protein [8]–[13]. This evidence concerns the gene FUS and liposarcoma.
