An earlier analysis of 11 polymorphisms from within the ADRB2 coding region and up to 5 kb in the 5′UTR region by Bleecker et al. included 3 of the haplotypes examined by Panebra et al. [25] and showed no differences between these haplotypes in the clinical response to ICS/LABA treatment based on measures of pulmonary function and asthma exacerbations in studies of up to 7 months in duration [13]. This evidence concerns the gene ADRB2 and asthma.
