The distribution of malaria subjects with anaemia (Hb < 11 g/dL), thrombocytopaenia (platelet < 150,000/ul) or leucocytosis (>10,000/ul) were almost similar between the treatment groups (52.2% vs 47.8%, 71.6% vs 73%, 6% vs 5%). This evidence concerns the gene GSTM1 and malaria.
