In the literature, a gain of 5p has been found in osteosarcoma and malignant fibrous histiocytoma [22], and studies combining aCGH and gene expression assays suggest that 5pter-p15.3 harbors several candidate oncogenes including TRIP13, TERT, NDUFS6, and ADAMT16 [13,14]. This evidence concerns the gene TERT and osteosarcoma.
