Fifteen of these 43 compounds were then confirmed to inhibit IR-induced FANCD2 foci formation in multiple cell lines, including PD20-FANCD2, U2OS, HeLa and TOV21G + FANCF ovarian cancer cells, using a wide range of drug concentrations (Table 1, Figures1B and 1C, Additional file 2: Figure S1, and data not shown). The gene discussed is FANCD2; the disease is ovarian cancer.
