Th1 cells produce proinflammatory cytokines (e.g. TNFalpha) and mediate proinflammatory responses during MS/EAE, whereas Th2 cells secrete anti-inflammatory cytokines [e.g. interleukin-4 (IL4), -10 (IL10), and -13 (IL13)] and participate in prevention or remission of MS/EAE.
