One recent study showed that pro-apoptotic Bcl-2 antagonist killer 1 (Bak1) was a direct target of miR-125b, and suppression of Bak1 gene expression through overexpression of miR-125b inhibited Taxol-induced apoptosis and led to an increased resistance to Taxol in breast cancer cells [37]. Here, BAK1 is linked to breast cancer.
