Multiple linear regression models adjusted for age, gender, BMI, HF type, key factors, or mineral metabolism (calcium, phosphate, magnesium, 25(OH)D, PTH), renal function, and haemoglobin showed that serum OC levels were significantly and positively associated with leptin and negatively with resistin concentrations, but not related to circulating adiponectin levels. This evidence concerns the gene RETN and hydrops fetalis.
