In order to detect recurrence of novel rearranged transcripts in ovarian cancer, we screened cDNA from an independent validation set of 109 HGSCs for the same exon joining events for six of the in-frame fusion genes found in HGSCs cases (CCNY/CREM, NDUFA11/STX17, AGGF1/SCAMP1, MAP3K1/SIRPA, C2orf67/MARCH4, C11orf41/DNAJC24) and one of the in-frame internally rearranged transcripts (ATP9B). Here, ATP9B is linked to ovarian carcinoma.
