In order to detect recurrence of novel rearranged transcripts in ovarian cancer, we screened cDNA from an independent validation set of 109 HGSCs for the same exon joining events for six of the in-frame fusion genes found in HGSCs cases (CCNY/CREM, NDUFA11/STX17, AGGF1/SCAMP1, MAP3K1/SIRPA, C2orf67/MARCH4, C11orf41/DNAJC24) and one of the in-frame internally rearranged transcripts (ATP9B). The gene discussed is MAP3K1; the disease is ovarian cancer.
