The human angiotensinogen core promoter element 1 (AGCE1) site, located between the TATA box and transcription initiation site, was shown to be a critical regulator of AGT transcription by binding to human angiotensinogen core promoter binding factor 1(AGCF1) in the human hepatoma cell line HepG2 cells [42]. This evidence concerns the gene AGT and hepatocellular carcinoma.
