Under a less stringent criterion, 70 SNPs on 11 genes (TMEM56, KIAA1797, LARS, GRB14, IGF1, WWOX, HLCS, CSF1, CSNK1G3, TTC12 and SYNE2) were identified to be cis-eQTL, generating a testable hypothesis that the 70 cis-eQTL may regulate hypertension-associated genes in turn to influence disease status. This evidence concerns the gene CSNK1G3 and hypertensive disorder.
