As we have previously reported in this cohort, individuals with (FH+) and without (FH−) a family history of diabetes had similar BMI, body fat composition by DXA, serum lipid profiles, and insulin sensitivity as assessed by glucose infusion rate necessary to maintain euglycemia during the final 30 minutes of the hyperinsulinemic clamp (Table 1).
