HDL-cholesterol values were similarly reduced by both diets (P = 0.01635) but AD improved both the LDL/HDL ratio (from 2.51 to 1.83, ie. -27%, P < 0.0001) and ApoB to ApoA-1 ratio (from 0.59 to 0.53; -10%; P < 0.0001). This evidence concerns the gene APOB and Alzheimer disease.
