To test whether JS-K influences the transcriptional activity of the AR, we transiently co-transfected AR-positive 22Rv1 human prostate cancer cells with pGL3E-Pro, an androgen-responsive probasin-promoter driven reporter plasmid, and pRL-tk-Luc, a Renilla luciferase plasmid under control of a constitutively active thymidine kinase promoter (control of transfection efficiency). This evidence concerns the gene AR and prostate carcinoma.
