Finally, GINS complex subunit 1 (GINS1), which was shown to be significantly positively correlated with hsa-miR-18a and hsa-miR-18b in both tumour and normal samples (and positively correlated with hsa-miR590-5p in normal samples), represents a key component of the GINS complex that is essential for initiation of DNA replication and is positively regulated in serous ovarian carcinoma [39].
