HLA-G and nasopharyngeal carcinoma: Applying a two stage case-control analysis in southern Chinese, we demonstrated that multiple loci within the 132 Kb segment (from D6S211 to D6S510) were associated with NPC susceptibility in consistence with previous findings [6-9,15]; rs2517716 near HLA-A and rs9260734 near HCG9 were found significant, and a novel significant SNP, rs9404952, was close to the HLA-G gene suggesting HLA-G might be a new susceptible locus for NPC, and needs to be further researched.
