We found that the percentages of CD14++CD16− and CD14+CD16+ subset levels were not significantly differed between normotensive control subjects and patients with essential hypertension (57±6% vs 50±5% for CD14++CD16−; and 12±2% vs 13±2% for CD14+CD16+; each n = 11, P>0.05; Figure 4A). The gene discussed is CD14; the disease is essential hypertension.
