In this work, using an in vitro model of oxygen and nutrient alterations in the human proximal epithelial cell line HK-2 [12], an in vivo model of I/R [11] in rats and a set of human allograft biopsies exhibiting ATN, we have studied the expression, regulation and the potential role of HIF-1 α in the tubular response during I/R. Here, SETD2 is linked to oculocutaneous albinism type 1.
