CRP and myocardial ischemia: Increased risk of IHD was associated in univariate analyses with age >50 years, Black race, BMI>30 kg/m2, inactivity, history of smoking, detectable cotinine concentrations, low fiber diet, low educational level, lower income, presence of diabetes, elevated hemoglobin A1c, hypertension, low HDL cholesterol concentrations, high concentrations of CRP, and delivery of a SGA infant.
