CRYGD and infection: To study whether the blockade of A.f adherence to corneal cells could decrease disease development, the peptides were applied to the scratched and inoculated corneas of Balb/c mice, and it was found that treatment of corneas with peptide Pc-C or Pc-E around infection significantly decreased the disease scores at day 3 and day 5 post infection when compared with mock treated eyes (Fig. 6A, B).
