Regardless of the method used to determine methylation status, the 24-months overall survival curves for primary glioblastoma patients receiving standard radiotherapy and at least concomitant TMZ displayed a trend towards better survival in the patient group with methylated MGMT promoter than in the patient group with unmethylated MGMT promoter (log-rank test, P = .06 and P = .02 for qMSP and pyrosequencing, respectively; Figure 1A and 1B). This evidence concerns the gene MGMT and glioblastoma.
