Novel treatments in diabetes mellitus such as dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPP4) inhibitors and Glucagon like peptide 1(GlP1) agonists can be theoretically used to control steroid-induced hyperglycemia or diabetes in MM; nevertheless, there are no studies till the present time that have looked into the effect of these new agents on cancer in general and multiple myeloma specifically.
